T+L Reports: Hamburg Modern

Like this article?

In the same industrial corridor as the Gastwerk, Hamburg's first loft hotel, the just-launched 25 Hours Hotel is a paean to all things mod. Every detail in the 65 guest rooms—the overlapping powder-blue squares on the wallpaper, the Brionvega TV sets, the multi-functional bentwood furnishings awash in white lacquer—is aimed at a young, au fait crowd. When the Q factor in the self-service bar (outfitted with orange futons, a flat-screen TV, and a foosball table) gets too high, the designer-clad guests toss off their Yohji Yamamoto Adidas sneakers and tune out in the hotel's meditation solarium during that 25th hour of the day. 25 Hours Hotel, 2 Paul-Dessau-Strasse, Hamburg; 800/337-4685; www.25hours-hotel.com; doubles from $132, including breakfast.
