South Korea Flushes With Pride

Not that anyone has contested the title yet, but the city of Suwon, South Korea, is staking a claim to the "world's best bathrooms." Suwon's recently created Toilet Cultural Division (we jest not) has spent nearly $4 million renovating some 580 bathrooms throughout the city; visitors can now take a 2 1/2-hour guided tour of said specimens, which feature "heated toilet seats, floral bouquets, and piped-in violin music." Suwon's mayor has gone on to found the Korea Clean Toilet Association.
