Zac Posen is the go-to fashion designer for feminine red carpet gowns that radiate glamour and elegance. Now, he’s offering up his talents to a different type of client.

Delta Air Lines has announced a partnership with the American designer, who will create high-style attire for flight attendants, customer service agents, etc. as part of a new uniform program.

Though travelers won’t see the refreshed ensembles until early 2018, Posen will be working behind the scenes to make outfits that are equal parts fashionable and functional. He’ll have a heavy hand in the multi-year process, which will include wear testing prototypes to ensure Delta employees’ needs are met.

This program is part of a larger evolution for Delta, who is planning a transformation of airport facilities, technology, and global services. If Posen’s attention to flattering shape and silhouette is any indication, the staff at Delta will be sashaying down the aisle in eye-catching refined garments.
