Sarasota, FL There might not be trapeze artists, clowns, and ringmasters, butSarasota is still anticipating the next greatest show on earth. The inaugural Ringling International Arts Festival—apartnership between the Baryshinikov Arts Center in New York and the Ringling Museum, on the64-acre estate of circus legend John Ringling, presents world and U.S. premieres from renowned andemerging performers: legendary director Peter Brooks stages Love is My Sin, a dramatizationof Shakespeare sonnets; the New York-based experimental theater company Elevator Repair Servicereinterprets Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises, and Israeli choreographer Deganit Shemyoffers the full-evening dance work Arena, commissioned by the festival.
