These days, insect repellent is popping up in room spray, lotions—even clothes. The new line of sportswear from Ex Officio (800/644-7303; www.exofficio.com), called, appropriately, Buzz Off, is an innovative way of combating the pesky critters of summer. The lightweight pants, shirts, hats, and jackets, which resemble those from their parent company, Orvis, are treated with odorless pemethrin, a safe insecticide that lasts through 25 washes. Add a UV protection factor of 30-plus, and nothing stands a chance against these threads.
