Getting There

Miami International Airport serves most major carriers. Fort Lauderdale, 30 miles to the north, also has an international airport.

Getting Around

South Beach is pedestrian-friendly and full of taxis. If you want to explore the rest of the city or are planning an extended visit, a rental car is advisable.

When to go

December through April are peak months for great weather. Summer is off- season, and rooms are easier to come by. Beware, however, the afternoon thunderstorms rolling in from central Florida.
