Legendary director Moss Hart once said that the only way to get revenge on your producer is to do an Ibsen revival. Two new productions of the Norwegian playwright's famously dark dramas are set to prove him wrong: Ralph Fiennes plays a pastor confronting a harsh God in Brand (Theatre Royal Haymarket; 44-870/901-3356; opens May 29), and Natasha Richardson is the doomed Ellida in The Lady from the Sea (Almeida Theatre; 44-207/359-4404; opens May 8). • The National Theatre (44-207/152-3000) puts a twist on more familiar fare: Nicholas Hytner directs Adrian Lester in Henry V (opens May 13), while Zoë Wanamaker and Alex Jennings square off in John Guare's stage adaptation of the Howard Hawks classic His Girl Friday (opens June 5).
