Reader’s Find: An Inn By The Sea

On a recent trip to the Canary Islands, I stumbled upon an unexpectedly lovely surprise: Agaete, a fishing village on Grand Canary’s northwestern coast. It has a harbor flanked by whitewashed houses, pebbled beaches, natural swimming pools amid volcanic rocks, and delicious local produce. This year an Italian firm opened the streamlined Hotel Roca Negra (doubles from $130, including breakfast), on a rocky cove where each room has a view of the Atlantic. I admit, I’m in love—and just bought a house in Agaete. —Kristina Goncalves, New York, N.Y.
