Behind Delaney’s Surplus closeout store lurks a roughly 300-ton metal sculpture built from scraps of industrial age machinery and designed for, well, space travel. Incredibly, it is the world’s largest kinetic sculpture, one that Tom O. Every, known as “Dr. Evermor,” designed without the help of blueprints.
