I went to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa; I hadn't missed a performance since The Producers opened on Broadway, so this was my first vacation in 53 weeks. I spent a week there, getting treatments and playing golf (they serve really good Bloody Marys right on the course). There are beautiful stables, too: I've never taken a riding lesson, but I'll jump on the back of any horse. I loved the spa's synchronized massage, where two people worked on me at once, and the lavender aromatherapy treatment. In the steam room, you get chilled washcloths spritzed with even more lavender. Everything smells good there. It's so fancy-schmancy. Although it's not quite as glamorous as backstage at the St. James Theatre. —Interviewed by H. Scott Jolley
