On July 17, fashion show organizer Jessica Minh Anh—the same designer who turned the Eiffel Tower into a catwalk back in 2014—will transform Spain’s Gemasolar Themosolar Plant into the scene of The J Summer Fashion Show.
Anh is known for her ability to turn unexpected venues into one-day fashion productions: the Grand Canyon Skywalk, Costa Atlantica in Dubai, the Seine River in Paris, and One World Trade Center, to name a few. For this project, Anh will play off of the plant’s stunning aerial views and hundreds of high-tech mirrors, enlisting a squad of drones to capture the models’ journey on the 100-meter, solar-powered catwalk.
The show will feature both haute couture and ready-to-wear collections from more than 15 countries. Designers in the curated collection incorporate cutting edge technology into their designs in some shape or form, adding to the show’s overall innovative aesthetic.
