Step Into James Bond’s World with These Seven 007 Hotel Packages

DRAYCOTT HOTEL LONDON
COURTESY OF DRAYCOTT HOTEL

James Bond is roaring back into theaters next week with Spectre, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as Britain’s greatest secret agent. If watching 007 outsmart the bad guys—and undoubtedly winning the heart of the beautiful widow played by Monica Belluci—has you hankering for an espionage-fueled assignation of your own, head to these hotels offering a James Bond experience sure to leave you stirred, not shaken.

Draycott Hotel, London

Step into the Draycott’s townhouse lodgings near Chelsea’s Sloane Square and Kensington—close to where scenes from Skyfall were shot—and you’ll be immersed in the kind of old world elegance where a man with a license to kill wouldn’t be out of place, so long as he was wearing a tux. Didn’t bring formal attire? The Draycott will arrange a bespoke VIP shopping trip, which pairs guests with a stylist with a golden eye and a view to a killer look. Round out your evening with a reservation at Scott’s, Bond author Ian Fleming’s favorite restaurant—and Bond’s, too. “When James Bond is in London, he always lunches there, at the corner table – that’s so he can look down and watch the pretty girls walking past,” Fleming once told a columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle. This package can be booked by calling the hotel directly.

The Brazilian Court Hotel, Palm Beach

The “Brazilian Bond” package gives guests of the Brazilian Court Hotel the chance to immerse themselves in the James Bond dream, including a private helicopter tour of Palm Beach, an Aston Martin DB9 rental, and a private yacht sunset cruise featuring poker and cigar sampling. To keep you hydrated in the Florida sun, there will be bottles of Macallan Whiskey and Bollinger Champagne, as well as a seven-course meal at Café Boulud. To make sure you look the part, the package includes Tom Ford cuff links for him, Louboutin Pigalle heels for her, and styling by Frederick Fekkai. The package is available through Dec. 31. The Bond lifestyle comes with a pricetag that would even make Moneypenny raise an eyebrow: $23,300 for a two-night stay. Go ahead and splurge, though, because when you’re James Bond, you only live twice.

The May Fair Hotel, London

You’ll feel like you’re on her Majesty’s Secret Service when you sign up for the May Fair’s Live Like Bond package. You’ll start your 007 experience from the moment you step off the airplane and the May Fair Hotel’s Jaguar XJL is there to whisk you away and deliver you to your suite. Then you’ll have a personal bartender on hand to make you Martinis in your rooms before heading to the hotel’s Palm Beach Casino, where you can spend the evening reenacting scenes from Casino Royale.

The Peninsula, Hong Kong

The hotel is a Bond star in its own right, appearing in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974), so it is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate Spectre. The Peninsula is hosting a display of Bond photographs by British photographer Terry O’Neill, who will then serve as the guest of honor at an exclusive “License to Thrill” VIP champagne-pairing dinner with Bond’s favorite Bollinger champagne and a six-course 007-inspired menu. The dinner is included for guests who booked the Peninsula’s "A Bond-worthy Stay" room package, which also includes a two-night stay in a Superior Suite, a pair of shaken-not-stirred cocktails, a sleek Rolls Royce to pick you up at the airport in style, and a limited edition bottle of Bollinger Bond Champagne. Need more glamour? Add a 15-minute helicopter tour of Hong Kong to your package.

The Isle of Eriska Hotel, Scotland

007 was sent to school in Scotland, but there’s no reason to bring a No. 2 pencil when you head to the Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa & Golf for a retreat from the world of espionage. The James Bond Package includes a private speedboat visit to Duart castle and a ride around the island’s stunning scenery in an Aston Martin DB9. Top off the day’s adventures with a Vesper (gin, vodka, and Lillet), which was created by Mr. Bond himself in the book Casino Royale. For the full Bond effect, take a helicopter to the island.

Hotel 41, London

Step into a world of Secrets and Spies when you sign up for this glamorous hotel package that includes a chance to follow in the footsteps of 007 on a James Bond tour of London, a private helicopter ride over the city, and, of course, a shaken-not-stirred Martini upon arrival at the hotel. Check in at the front desk, and no one will judge you if you introduce yourself as Bond, James Bond or dance like to Duran Duran’s “A View To A Kill”, or Shirley Bassey’s “Goldfinger” in your room.

Charles Hotel, Munich

The Charles Hotel is offering a secret agent package for the ultimate James Bond fan who is eager (and willing) to hop on a helicopter ride into the mountains to retrieve a secret USB stick taken by nefarious characters. Once you capture the bad guys, it’s time to relax Bond-style with a massage and a trip to the casino. In what may be the most over-the-top package ever, the hotel will let you “Be James Bond for a Day”—no license to kill necessary.
