Q. I saw on TV the top 10 ten beaches and in it they showed a Four Seasons Resort
in the Indian Ocean but I cannot remember the name of the beach or island. I thought you might know of it.
A. You're referring to the Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, one of the hotel chain's most exotic properties. The Maldives is an island republic that lies halfway between the southern tip of India and the equator. The Four Seasons resort is on North Male Atoll, a speck of land (actually a coral island) now largely devoted to the resort itself. There are 106 bungalows and villasone-third of them built on stilts over the water. The resort has several restaurants and lounges and a water-sports center for catamaran sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, and more. You can read the resort's official Web site here or have a look at the story Travel + Leisure wrote about the resort in June 1998 here
