Walk in the footsteps of Hollywood royalty.

March 16, 2016

Princess Diaries fans, rejoice: there will be a third installment of the hit film 12 years after the release of The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. "I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan," creator Gary Marshall told People magazine. "Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby, and then I think we're going to do it."

While the world waits the details, fans can get a taste of the famous flick by visiting the castle that served as the royal palace in fictional Genovia in the last film. Longford Castle is the spectacular country manor where Hathaway's character Mia Thermopolis prepared to take over the throne, but needed to find a husband first.

In reality, the 16th century castle is located on the banks of the River Avon south of Salisbury, in Wiltshire county, England, and is currently owned by William Pleydell-Bouverie9th Earl of Radnor. The aristocratic family opens its home to the public for pre-booked tours 28 days each year, giving visitors a first-hand look at some historic artifacts and works of art, as well as a piece of movie history.
