Don't worry about saving room for dessert: it's chocolate soup to nuts at specialty cafés across the country. In Berkeley, the Scharffen Berger factory's Café Cacao (914 Heinz Ave.; 510/843-6000; www.cafecacao.biz) serves up chocolate pasta and fudgy sandwiches on pain de mie. The truffles at Moonstruck Chocolate Café (Chicago and Portland, Oreg.; www.moonstruckchocolate.com) are shaped like mini ice cream cones. And in New York at Jacques Torres's Chocolate Haven (350 Hudson St.; 212/414-2462) chocoholics can watch as cocoa beans are transformed into chocolate bars.
