Hertz’s new car-sharing program, Connect by Hertz (connectbyhertz.com; yearly memberships from $50), has hit the streets of New York, London, and Paris, and is making its way to 20 more cities this year. The high-tech fleet, parked in convenient locations throughout the cities, features iPod adapters, GPS systems, and speakerphone access to roadside service. After reserving a car, members use their electronic Connect Card to unlock the vehicle, where the keys await. The best part: Gas is included, so start your engines.
