A quick look at @chefjacqueslamerde’s Instagram page, and it’s easy to assume it’s just another food fan documenting their adventures by way of pricy, elegantly crafted entrees. Look a little closer, and you’ll see the actual ingredients: Pop Tarts. Gerber baby food. Kraft dressing. Sun Chips. Chef Jacques La Merde certainly creates pretty dishes, but they’re made entirely of junk food.

That spread of cream you see? Duncan Hines frosting. Crème Anglaise? More like Kraft bleu cheese. One dish even incorporates “edible flowers from the chef’s landlord’s window box.” And it gets oh-so-much better from there.

We’ve pulled together a few of our favorite dishes (visually speaking) with some words from the chef himself on the plates and other kitchen adventures. See if you can guess the ingredients.
