Hallstatt, Austria is so beautiful, even China tried to have one of its own. To their credit, it's one of those charming waterside towns that has—more likely then not—inspired a few postcard designs. Lucky for us who haven't been to this Austrian village (or have been and are looking for a walk down memory lane), timelapse and hyperlapse specialist Geoff Tompkinson put together a stunning compilation of shots from a recent trip to the city—which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tompkinson used a hyperzoom method to showcase his footage giving the entire tour a boomerang vibe, shooting you from inside a floating tour boat to a bustling city square in seconds. Make sure and give it a watch with the sound on—the patter of footsteps on a brick street and radio chatter as you pass through a local's home is an added feature you won't want to miss.
