For a firsthand look at the spoils of a model's jet-set life, head to Butik (605 Hudson St.; 212/367-8014), a recently opened store in Manhattan's West Village. Danish model and photographer Helena Christensen has gathered a collection of treasures from her nomadic career: capelets from Baum und Pferdgarten of Copenhagen, silk dresses from Britain-based designer Camilla Staerk, and vintage jewelry from flea markets around the world. The store also features a tropical arboretum curated by Christensen's partner, Leif Sigersen, a floral artist. "We're always looking for rare objects of beauty," says Christensen. "Even if I'm just running out for milk, I usually find something new." Or, she's apt to make something herself. "I've got the sewing machine set up in the back room."
