According to GoogleTrends—the latest innovation from searchmongers Google—the good folks of Apex, North Carolina, searched the term "golf travel" at a higher rate than people in any city in the world over the past two and a half years (as of August 24, 2006). Apex is a town of 20,212 (largely leisure seekers, apparently) located outside of Raleigh, an hour north of Pinehurst. We're not sure where Google directed them, but here's a tip: There's some pretty cool stuff at tlgolf.com.
