HOT STIX STAT
Moment of inertia (MOI) is a measure of how much clubheads twist on off-center hits. Drivers that twist less have higher MOIs and are especially beneficial to higher handicappers. The square drivers in this issue were created to maximize MOI. The average MOI of the 612 drivers Hot Stix has tested is 4203. Just as springlike effect (COR) is capped at .830, the USGA’s limit for MOI is 5900.
We asked HOT STIX GOLF (480-513-1333; hotstixgolf.com), which objectively analyzes clubs and balls to help custom fit players, to test the MOI of the drivers in this issue.
