A sophisticated take on our favorite Christmas cookie.
San Juan’s Condado Vanderbilt Hotel is everything you’d want from a luxury beach resort, combining old world sensibilities with contemporary aesthetics. At the hotel’s bars and restaurants, you will find a cocktail worthy of this standard of luxury— the Gingerbread Man.
Don't let the cutesy name fool you. The Gingerbread Man's creator, mixologist Christabell Cobian, says most of the drink's imbibers “are in their mid 30s to early 40s, and mostly tourists. I talk to them and they’re really serious about their drinks; they’re very traditional.”
He adds, "The whiskey isn’t overpowering so this drink works anytime of the day: for brunch, after dinner when you’re getting dessert, right before you go to a party—or even at a party.”
