Famous for its intimate ships, expedition-focused itineraries, and Italian heritage, luxury cruise line Silversea will debut a new vessel in 2017. Called the Silver Muse, the 596-passenger ship will be a flagship for the brand, a next-generation version of their groundbreaking 540-passenger Silver Spirit, which launched in 2009.
Silversea is not the only luxury brand upping its game. Seabourn has tapped legendary designer Adam D. Tihany to do the interiors of the 604-passenger Seabourn Encore, which will launch at the end of 2016. The ship will be roughly a quarter larger than the line’s Odyssey class ships. And next July, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ state-of-the-art Seven Seas Explorer will begin sailing the Mediterranean, with a lavish Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Pacific Rim, a Pan-Asian restaurant, and a 3,875 square-foot Regent Suite.
