Room service is one of the greatest perks of staying in a hotel, but recent news from Manhattan's Aloft Hotel might make it the highlight of your trip—if you're into emojis, that is. The brand unveiled a new way to order room service via emojis. That's right: No picking up the phone, no clunky Internet sites. You can finally use those emojis for more than hashtagging your Instagram photos.

As magical as it sounds, there are rules. This service doesn't apply to just any emoji. The hotel will offer specific "packages"—aka a series of emojis that stand for a specific order. Text your emojis with your name and room number to a specified number, and you're minutes away from the glory that is ordering dinner in the most millennial way possible. The fun doesn't stop at food—here's a list of the packages guests can expect:

  •  The Sightseer, $30: a $10 Metrocard, city map, and drinks at WXYZ
  • The Re:fresh, $10: toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, shaving cream, and deodorant
  • The Hangover, $10: two bottles of Vitaminwater, Advil, and two bananas
  • The Munchies, $10: Coca-Cola, Doritos, Snickers, and a chocolate brownie
  • Phone Charger, $25: Make sure to specify "iPhone" or "Android" in your emoji text
  • Surprise Me, $25: "Fun swag and cool stuff" 

For now, Aloft guests can only use this service at the Manhattan Financial District location, but there are hopes to expand the idea to other hotels. The best part? The brand has given the service an incredibly adorable name: Text It, Get It—or TiGi, for short.
