Cy Twombly’s Louvre Mural

Last month, 82-year-old Cy Twombly became the first American artist to leave a permanent mark on the Musée du Louvre. The painter created a 4,300-square-foot canvas of yellow orbs set against a sky-blue backdrop for the ceiling of the Salle des Bronzes gallery. See Twombly’s largest work to date—and skip the Louvre’s long ticket lines—by booking the two-night Culture at the Park package at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme (doubles from $936), which includes daily breakfast and two-day passes for two to more than 60 museums.
