Nice article. I've been to Australia twice, and aside from the resplendent surroundings, and the considerably different architecture, one thing that stuck out for me were the cellar doors I witnessed at 3 different homes I frequented. Each was painted a sand color, which is drastically different from the usual red found in the USA. I guess this is because of the heat. Black, or another color that retains heat, probably wouldn't be a good choice.
