In more ways than one, 2015 proved to be a busy year for business travelers and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. According to a recent survey conducted by travel information provider ExpertFlyer.com and travel blog ViewFromTheWing.com, more than 1500 fliers weighed in on questions ranging from how many times they traveled for business in 2015 (43% traveled 15 times of more) to their favorite airline for U.S. domestic business travel (the answer was American Airlines which garnered 52% of the vote).

One of the biggest takeaways of the study found that a sweeping 83% of participants expect to be traveling even more in the new year, which inevitably means little reprieve for already overcrowded airplanes.

However the expression "save the best for last" never seems to disappoint, and perhaps the most interesting tidbit from this study was unearthed in the final question: “Have you ever done anything on the road you wouldn't have done at home?”

While the majority of voters reponded "no," a whopping 15% admitted to “taking part in 'hedonistic pleasures,'" including engaging in an extramarital affair, visiting a strip club, and pretending to be someone else (among a bevy of other follies).

This figure should come as no surprise as we’ve pretty much seen it all when it comes to travelers behaving badly this year. We’ve experienced the worst of the worst tourists and documented holidaymakers' bad vacation habits. We’ve reported our fair share of celebrity airport meltdowns (although those are usually pretty entertaining) and survived our first year of selfie-stick mania.

However new beginnings are on the horizon and as we begin the countdown of one year and look ahead to the next, we can at least try and be the better traveling version of ourselves
