CELEBRATION HOTEL, 700 Bloom Street, Celebration; 407-566-6000; celebrationhotel.com. Although it's located on Disney property, the Celebration is not a Disney resort. This elegant, old-Florida-style 115-room boutique hotel is reminiscent of the early 1900s, right down to the room furnishings. Guests can play golf, swim or stroll the miles of surrounding nature trails and parks. Rooms: $145­$205. Suites: $290­$450.

DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE, 2901 Osceola Parkway, Bay Lake. Experience an African safari and dine on New African cuisine at Disney's newest luxury resort. Each room is decorated with an African theme and features handcrafted carvings. Amenities include three restaurants, a health club and a pool. Rooms: $199­$565. Suites: $600­$2,350.

DISNEY'S BOARDWALK INN, 2101 Epcot Resorts Boulevard. Set on the BoardWalk at Epcot, this 372-room luxury hotel offers easy access to all the area's shopping, entertainment and dining. Amenities include a health club, two miniature golf courses and two pools. Rooms: $279­$630. Suites: $535­$2,175.

DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA, 4401 Grand Floridian Way. The luxurious flagship resort for Disney is set in a Victorian-style castle and offers an array of spa services, two pools, a white-sand beach and the acclaimed Victoria & Albert's restaurant. Rooms: $314­$790. Suites: $810­$2,175.

DOWNTOWN ORLANDO: Have a cocktail at the trendy Lake Eola Yacht Club (407-841-0033), then dine on Southern cooking at Louis' Downtown (407-648-4688); or, for a stunning city view, check out Manuel's on the 28 (407-246-6580) and dine on ostrich and elk. MINIATURE GOLF: Take a swing on one of Disney's four miniature golf courses, including Fantasia Gardens (Fantasia theme) and Fantasia Fairways (a miniature version of a real golf course).

SHOPPING: Downtown Disney's Marketplace has twelve Disney theme areas. Or take the half-hour drive north to charming Winter Park and stroll the upscale shops and boutiques along Park Avenue.
