The world’s largest mass sighting of a fleet of UFOs occurred here the afternoon of April 11, 2005, when thousands of people witnessed at first 7, then 100–200 luminous spheres filling the sky, performing in formation then doing independent aerial maneuvers. Similar objects—as well as flying black humanoid shapes, ropes, and disks—are often seen in broad daylight here, but it’s the famous eerie fleets that locals describe as the “quiet invasions.”
