Unlike other hot spots, this Caribbean island is also famous for its “USOs,” or Unidentified Submersible Objects, with much of the explained activity (think humming tiered vehicles with colored lights that shoot over the water’s surface) occurring in and around El Yunque, the 28,000-acre rainforest on the northeastern coast. UFO investigators from around the world come here to study the phenomena, both in and out of the water.

Recent Reported Sighting: On January 23, 2010, a girl and her aunt driving from Utuado to Bayamón saw an odd craft in the sky with four rocket-like boosters.
