That is, if you’re visiting one of the nine destinations Momondo included in their survey of best and worst months to travel.

There are so many factors that go into planning a trip, but airline prices can be a real downer when it comes to keeping it wallet-friendly. Depending on your destination, summertime can be a perfect time for a getaway (ahem, Cancun), but some locations require a bit more research into the cheapest time to visit. In fact, the Travel Saver Calendar from Momondo suggests that you steer clear of summer travel all together.

The flight comparison tool put together this information in the hopes to make planning on a budget a little bit easier by sharing the least (and most) expensive months for hotel rates and airfare in nine of the world’s top destinations (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Moscow, London, Paris, and Rome). While there aren't any numbers in terms of what prices to expect, this is a great starting point for your vacation research. Here’s what they found:

Amsterdam
• Best Month to Visit: January
• Worst Month to Visit: August

Barcelona
• Best Month to Visit: January
• Worst Month to Visit: July

Berlin
• Best Month to Visit: January
• Worst Month to Visit: July

Copenhagen
• Best Month to Visit: January
• Worst Month to Visit: July

Lisbon
• Best Month to Visit: February
• Worst Month to Visit: July

London
• Best Month to Visit: January
• Worst Month to Visit: July

Moscow
• Best Month to Visit: March
• Worst Month to Visit: July or August

Paris
• Best Month to Visit: January
• Worst Month to Visit: June or July

Rome
• Best Month to Visit: November
• Worst Month to Visit: December
