No. 8 LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
Flights Delayed: 16.6%
LaGuardia is the Big Apple’s David, compared to the Goliaths of EWR and JFK. While the Queens airport languished on the worst lists back in 2008 and 2009, it has raised its on-time departure performance by an impressive 12 percentage points since then. Even so, you may regret booking a late-evening flight: after 10 p.m., performance plummets to 50 percent.
Best Time Window: Before 9 a.m.
Worst Time Window: 6–10 p.m., and even worse after 10 p.m.
