T+L Reports: Artful Living In Denver

Like this article?

This summer, steps away from the raised triangular corner of his Frederic C. Hamilton building at the Denver Art Museum, architect Daniel Libeskind will debut his Museum Residences (1200 Acoma St.; 303/623-1119; www.museumresidences.com). With up to 4,500 square feet of loft-like space per unit, the 56 condominiums reflect the modern feel of the museum itself. Each has generous amounts of steel and hardwood, as well as asymmetrical floor plans, glass-mosaic-tile bathrooms, and stainless-steel kitchens (with Berloni cabinets and appliances by Bosch, Miele, and Franke, of course). The condos are already 75 percent sold—prices start at $340,000— but don't despair: even after the last one is snapped up, there's still hope for staying in a Libeskind design; his Denver boutique hotel will welcome guests in 2007.
