Art at Large

From June 2007

By Kim Brown Seely

Play hide-and-seek between the curved panels of Richard Serra’s Wake at Seattle’s new Olympic Sculpture Park, on nine grassy acres. With a map (and organic PB&J’s) from the park’s sleek steel-and-glass pavilion, wander the zigzag path through the redeveloped waterfront. Continue the art march several blocks south at the recently expanded Seattle Art Museum and take in Cai Guo-Qiang’s Inopportune: Stage One—nine cars dangling from the ceiling. 206/654-3100; seattleartmuseum.org.
