Best Pie to Try: MJ’s Texas Twister.

Jaynie Buckingham’s claim to fame is her award-winning Buttermilk Pie, which she bakes according to her mother’s recipe. But her secret weapon is a white chocolate and coconut pecan pie known as the Texas Twister. “It looks like a regular pecan pie,” she says, “but it has this creamy, custardy center with an almost-praline topping.” Buckingham sells her goods out of her Cutie Pie Wagon every Wednesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. until “the pies sell out.”
