No. 14 Philadelphia
Philly has a longstanding reputation for pilsners, and you can try any number of them, as well as other brews, at McGillin’s Olde Ale House, the city’s oldest tavern (dating back to the 1860s). For a slightly newer brewpub, check out Nodding Head, also in Center City; you can get in good with the locals by asking about the microbrewery’s Crosby’s Tears, a “strong ale made with whine” named after Sidney Crosby, a Pittsburgh Penguin despised by passionate Philadelphia Flyers fans.
