Since introducing new playlists, the airline has seen its positive Twitter feedback increase seven times.

Sometimes the best marketing plan is no plan at all. American Airlines is embracing new boarding, in-flight, and arriving playlists, much, as it turns out, to Twitter users’ delight. The new tunes hit the skies in October, adding another little luxury airline brands are offering passengers to make travel that much more enjoyable. Seems like the small adjustment is a win-win: Just last week, the brand has seen seven times the number of positive tweets that they’re used to seeing, many of which are praising the new tunes.

So which musicians are getting everyone excited? The airline’s boarding and arriving playlists have featured Foster the People, Lykke Li, Future Islands, Broken Bells, The Shins, Phantogram, The xx, M83, and more. One Twitter user found the perfect words to describe the new soundtracks: “No more sad piano version of U2.” If that’s not worth celebrating, we don’t know what is.
