A few more of Las Vegas' postgolf, pregambling diversions of note.
Angel Park Putting Course
100 South Rampart Blvd., Las Vegas, NV; 702-254-4653.
The two eighteen-hole Arnold Palmer layouts at this municipal complex receive the most attention, but the eighteen-hole lighted putting course, rated one of the two or three best in the country, is the real gem. It's a par 49 dotted with sand bunkers that measures 1,773 feet from the tips. There's also a nifty lighted par-three track called Cloud Nine.
Callaway Golf Center
6730 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV;702-896-4100.
Practice on the driving range, hone your short game on the par-three course and work out your kinks with the aid of a computer-generated swing analysis at the only full-service practice facility on the Strip.
In Celebration of Golf
The Venetian, 3311 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV; 702-699-9600.
Update your golf wardrobe on the bottom level, marvel at the walls upstairs, where framed, autographed golf memorabilia greet you at every turn. Try to stump the man behind the information desk, who is there to answer any and all golf trivia questions.
The Danny Gans Show
The Mirage, 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV; 800-374-9000.
Calling Gans an impressionist doesn't do him justice. He does hundreds of voices, all to perfection—and has one of the lowest handicaps of all Vegas headliners.
