A Malaysian airport is on the hunt for the owner of three abandoned cargo jets and has taken out ads in local newspapers to find the aircrafts' "untraceable" holder, CNN reports.

The three planes have been sitting at separate parking bays in Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia for over a year, an official told CNN.

The airport placed ads Monday in Malaysia's The Star and Sin Chew Daily newspapers, asking the owner to come forward and finally claim the lost Boeing 747-200Fs.

"If you fail to collect the aircraft within 14 days of the date of this notice, we reserve the right to sell or otherwise dispose of the aircraft pursuant to the Civil Aviation Regulations 1996 and use the money raised to set off any expenses and debt due to us under the said regulations," the ad says.
