Priscilla Alexander
Alexander’s business, Protravel, is considered by some to be more of an empire than a travel agency. In 2005, her 19 U.S. offices—from New York to Beverly Hills—were joined by a London bureau, and she has also added more than 100 employees, bringing the Protravel staff to more than 600. Agents can use Protravel’s own specialty divisions, which concentrate on specific areas, such as Eastern Europe and Turkey, to plan trips for their clients. Alexander is a member of T+L’s Travel Agent Advisory Board.
