Vintage Roads is a car-for-hire service with a fleet of classic restored Traction Avant Citroën vehicles. These large touring cars from the 1930s-50s have almost mythic status among the world’s car elite, so renting a Traction Avant at reasonable prices is quite the travel-in-style prize. In fact, the seven, 11, 15 and 22 HP “tractions” were used as vehicles for the famous and infamous, from French film stars to French resistance fighters to the Gestapo. The cars can be dropped off at a Paris hotel, train station, or airport for weekend driving tours of the Loire Valley, Normandy, or Brittany.
