State-of-the-art LED lighting, an award-winning Funktion One sound system, and high-profile DJ’s make Vessel one of the city’s most popular clubs, attracting such former guests as Jonathan Abrams, the founder of Friendster. Designed by acclaimed architect Stephane Dupoux, the 4,500-square-foot subterranean space is located in Union Square below a Giorgio Armani boutique. In addition to the main dance floor, the interior also has Italian leather banquettes and a raised VIP garden. The DJ’s spin a mix of house, techno, and hip hop, and on Wednesday nights, Vessel hosts an event called “Obey the Kitty,” featuring live electronic and indie performances.
