Penn Museum - The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology
Behind the 19th-century Beaux-Arts facade, the Penn Museum on the University of Pennsylvania campus houses three floors of artifacts from around the world. Dating back five millenia, the nearly 1 million-piece collection includes ancient Sumerian cuneiform tablets, Egyptian statuary and mummies, South Asian jewelry, and Native American ceremonial wear. Rotating exhibits bring additional archeological treasures to the museum each year. The grounds are home to Calder sculptures, a Tiffany mosaic, and a reflecting pond stocked with koi.
