Taschen
More than just a bookstore, Taschen is a global publisher and multi-unit, culturally focused bookshop. In 1980, then eighteen-year old Benedikt Taschen opened his first store in Cologne and has since branched out with locations everywhere from Beverly Hills to Hong Kong. Designed by Philippe Stark, the Paris quarters, housed along the Rue de Seine of the Left Bank, boast mirrored walls, jet black ceilings, wood floors, and nonmatching furnishings. The shop carries books covering everything from architecture to fashion and design to pop culture.
