Established in 1981, the airport now includes three main terminals, along with the Budget Terminal and Jetquay Terminal, which caters to more discerning travelers. Singapore Changi provides ample shopping and dining opportunities, including Prima Taste Kitchen for authentic local cuisine. The airport is also home to a spa, two movie theaters, and a nature trail connecting six gardens, including a butterfly garden. Singapore Transit Tours provides free sightseeing excursions to travelers with at least five hours to spare.
Insider Tip:
During a long layover, head to Terminal 1’s Ambassador Transit Hotel and purchase a non-guest pass to the rooftop pool; the pass is good for an unlimited amount of time.
