Newly opened in 2007, this winery sits amid 357 acres of sustainably grown grapevines, olive groves, and biodynamic gardens. Operated by the MacDonnell family since the 1980s, the property’s gleaming, mod-Mission-style visitors’ center is one of the area’s most architecturally graceful, with a covered second-story terrace overlooking the Mayacamas Mountains—the perfect place to sample the winery’s well-known Cabernet Sauvignons and Sauvignon Blancs. Though still primarily vintners, the MacDonnells have also gained recognition in recent years as olive-oil producers; tours of their press (across the road from the winery) and tastings of their extra-virgin oils are a fun option here.
