Napa Valley Wine Train

1275 McKinstry St.
Napa, CA, United States
TEL: (707) 253-2111
TEL: (800) 427-4124

Following a 36-mile route between Napa and St. Helena, this tour provides optimal views of the Napa Valley from an old-fashioned train comprised of nine vintage cars, all built between 1915 and 1952. Inside, the cars are designed with Honduran mahogany wood, brass accents, velveteen fabric, and in the Vista Dome cars, large convex windows providing an almost 180-degree view of the vine-covered landscape. Operating twice a day, the three-hour tour includes the option of a multi-course lunch or dinner, as well as a private tour of one or two wineries, such as Grgich Hills and Domaine Chandon.

Insider Tip:

The company provides both daytime and moonlight excursions, but it’s best to go during the day—at night, the surrounding vineyards and mountains are hardly visible.
