Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Quebec houses Canada’s largest national art collection. Set inside three Battlefield Park (also known as "The Plains of Abraham") buildings, the museum includes almost a dozen permanent collections and world-class traveling exhibits. One gallery is dedicated entirely to the work of Quebec-born painter Jean-Paul Riopelle. Some exhibits present ancient Inuit artifacts. An evolutionary display of Quebec City art from the 18th and 19th centuries includes portraits, sculptures, and decorative art. The site’s Gérard-Morisset Building looms large with its Neoclassical architecture, both inside and out. The complex also includes a café, restaurant, and sculpture garden.
