Stand in the studio where countless hits for the famous Motown label were recorded. This modest brick home—bought in 1959 by Berry Gordy Jr. and christened Hitsville USA—was transformed into a museum in 1985 by Gordy’s sister Esther. Clothing, photos, and mementos from Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, the Supremes, and other Motown legends line the walls. Even one of Michael Jackson’s white gloves is on display.

Tip: Free parking is available on the street in front of the museum.

Admission: $10 adults; $8 children (12 and under) and seniors
