This shiny white store brings together for the first time chic women’s wear, accessories, and shoe collections, all selected by the owner, Maria Luisa Poumaillou. Generally considered one of the sharpest eyes in fashion, Poumaillou was one of the first to stock once-rising stars such as John Galliano. Editors and insiders have relied on her for her insight since the original store opened in 1988. You’ll find new looks from the London scene such as Christopher Kane’s rock and punk ruffles, Marios Schwab’s intricately constructed dresses, Richard Nicoll’s futuristic looks, Meadham Kirchhoff’s gauzy separates, and Louise Goldin’s knitwear. Poumaillou’s expertise extends to menswear in Maria Luisa Homme, a boutique located just around the corner (38 Rue du Mont Thabor; 33-1-42-60-89-83).
Insider Tip: While Alaïa and Pierre Hardy both have their own shoe shops, Maria Luisa is the only place in Paris where you’ll find Manolo Blahniks.
